Startled?

Yeah, me too.

I've been hastily reading through hundreds of pages on Japanese politics and economy and when I opened up a PDF file, that came up. I don't need any surprises right now. It's finals week, and I don't want any fuckery.

Though, there is something very "Marlboro Man" about him. "Him". I should probably know his name, but it's all a swimming pool of "Hosokawa," "Takemura," and "Koizumi" right now. Japanese is probably the language that sounds the most foreign to me.

Thus, I didn't understand any part of the SNl digital short that Ryan sent me last night. They did a Japanese version of Teh Office and it was brilliant. Mostly because Ricky Gervais had a minimal part in it, just narrating.

Not sure if I ever made an official statement, but I will now since there seems to be a lot of confusion. I declare: I hate Ricky Gervais. Yeah, I said it. And I mean it.

He's greedy, selfish, pompous, and holds Stephen Merchant back. Maybe it's all a really long-running joke, maybe he's just riffing on what people think of him, and maybe I don't get it. But it really gets on my nerves, and I really love the Smerch. That's probably my biggest issue with Gervais.

When Smerch had to play his servant in their Comic Relief bit for this year, I was enraged. Because Smerch was relegated to the back, the bit wasn't funny. I didn't laugh out loud even once. I just sort of swooned when Smerch was onscreen - the few times.

People need to stop sending me Ricky Gervais things. It's been four incidents in the past 36 hours. I didn't even click on the link to the Sesame Street episode with Ricky Gervais that Ivy sent me last night.

As Gervais would say, he's a funny-looking, annoying manc twat.

Whew, enough of this tirade and what was supposed to be a miniature/undeserved break from studying.
