My downward spiral starting Monday continued deep into last night. I couldn't sleep, and so stayed up and fired off a really awful review of the Ra Ra Riot show to the New University paper. They probably won't run it, and probably shouldn't.

I woke up with a start at 8 when I realized that I hadn't mailed the title transfer for the car. Apparently that's supposed to be done within five days of the transaction... it's been a couple of weeks. Whoops. I was grumpy to be up so early to go to campus, and even more annoyed when I called my boss and he said he wasn't coming because of car trouble. Thank goodness before I left the house, I preemptively made plans to cheer myself up.

Tom and I met for lunch at Veggie Grill at 12.30. I was triumphant when I persuaded him to eat vegan food. I'm not a huge fan myself, save for Veggie Grill and Wheel of Life. We both got amazing chipotle barbecue fake burgers, and to cap it all, free refills on arnold palmers. Things were picking up.

I really felt better on the bike ride home because it was mostly downhill and the weather is my favorite kind today: too bright and bitterly cold. Sound familiar? Jamie Lidell played, then Jon Brion, and I felt lighter and forgot about the petty things I was worrying about.

As of now, I haven't finished any more papers. Instead I've been watching back to back episodes of "Flight of the Conchords," and it's not stopping anytime soon. It's the LotR episode. Yee!
