pimped my ride

I think for once I will follow through on things!
For this quarter, out of a little bit of desire and mostly necessity, I would start riding my bike to class. I only have to be on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays, so it seemed simple enough. I don't know how I manage to only have classes two days a week and still be on track to graduate early. Thai asked me why it seems as though I am never doing any work. Looks can be deceiving!
I have been too lazy to keep my promise to myself though. I tried to fix my bike here and there over the past three months, but things kept getting in the way i.e. missing nuts and bolts, Unsolved Mystery marathons, etc. I realised last week that the bike my da bought me is beyond repair, however. The right hand brake no longer works, and as much as I try to be a hipster, I will never be a fixie punk. Also, as much as I live on the dangerous side, I don't trust my bike skills enough to keep out of danger.
Thai took us to Goodwill yesterday because our apartment was driving him crazy, lacking a show rack, dish rack, and devoid of any decor. There I found my second new love:

SUPER SWEET, INNIT?!
The biggest and only drawback is the most obvious one. Hot pink. Good God, I can't believe I of all people have to ride around on a hot pink bike. I would repaint it, but as my previous bike shows, I'm not so great at spray painting. It's patchy at best.
Now I just have to install the basket I bought from Ace Hardware three months ago, and I am literally ready to roll.
I still can't believe I got a coveted cruiser. For the rock bottom price of... $35.
So many things to be jealous of, I know.
This entry was gratuitous, but approved by my first new love, Geoff. Christine had the television on last night set to Ace of Cakes, and I fell asleep dreaming of this bad boy baker.
